1973 Senior class trip remembered

The 1973 senior class trip was to Daytona Beach, Florida. We travelled by bus which took about 24 hours (or at least it seemed that long). It seems the whole trip cost $75 for a week long trip. I still have some Polaroid photos (no digital camera back then). I still have photos of the CHS girls on the bus in their hair rollers. It was fun. I had a reality check awakening when we hit North Carolina we had trouble getting food service. My fonder memories go to the many big and little afro hair-dos back then (part of the "cultural revolution" - not just a hair style). We stayed at a hotel that had kitchenettes. Girls separate from the boys in hotel rooms and we had chaperones. I sold breakfast (50 cents) and dinners (75 cents) from my room for extra spending money. After college, in 1977, I moved to Daytona Beach for my first job as an electrical engineer. Life is funny sometimes. A nice little trip down memory lane on the 1973 senior class trip.
