MENS TRACK TEAM

Too many to share. Being on the track team it was a ton of fun winning the state championships and our track team we were a close knit family. We always had each others back. Some memories I have are when our track meet was postponed because of snow. We called up the freshmen pretending to be college recruiters telling them we wanted to recruit them and then laughing when one of them told the coach Notre Dame was trying to recruit them. Winning our first indoor state championship in 1996 after we had guaranteed Coach Booker a state championship. We were all smiles. We got state championship jackets, I think I wore it everyday that year. Beating Thirston Cox (Wilson) in the 3200 meter run. The guy always beats me. Daring each other to do all kinds of silly things during the indoor meets. I still stay in touch with a few people from the team. I can best compare us to the 1985 Chicago bears we always won and we always had fun doing it.
