The high school instructional technology program fouses on using various technologies independently and cooperatively to create, access, retrieve, interpret and evaluate visual and auditory information to support integrated project planning, design and development. 

In our labs, teachers works collaboratively with the technology coordinator and the media specialist to provide students with a stimulating, active learning environment. In addition, students develop electronic research, presentations and productivity skills through opportunities to create content-based projects. 

Technology Goals for Our Students (Grades 9-12) 

Our students use technology to:
  • Enhance communication and support learning across all disciplines.
  • Access, retrieve, interpret, evaluate and manage visual and auitory information
  • Maximize problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, and active learning.
  • Improve writing skills.
  • Facilitate the development of research projects across the curriculum.
  • Develop skills that will be relevant for use in the twenty-first century workplace.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines for using technology.
  • Use a word processor, paint, graphics, and animation programs, presentation and authoring applications to facilitate enhanced communication in all disciplines, with specific emphasis on the process of writing.
  • Use the internet for information access, research, anaylsis and publication.
  • Access and retrieve electronic information to maximize productivity and effectiveness throughout the disciplines.
