THE ENTREPRENEUR CLUB PROGRAM
This program is for students ages 14 to 18. During the academic school year students will be asked to participate in a ten week job readiness training program. Meeting once a week, this program will prepare the students for a diverse and technological workplace. It will focus on skills needed to obtain and maintain employment. Attitude, Motivation, Communication, Values, Interviewing, Completing Application, Identifying Realistic Job Opening, Building Self-Esteem, Resume Writing, Diversity in the Workplace, Starting Your Own Business, Marketing Advertising, and A Business Plan, are the topics covered in the program. The students will develop entrepreneur skills and start their own business. Staff will monitor students’ progress and provide follow-up services, which will include assistance in job placement, and job site visits. Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to receive a certificate and will be assisted in getting employment and starting their own business. They will sell their products within the school and in our local community.
 
Where & When:  Camden High School on Thursdays: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
 
PARTNERS IN PARENTING (PIP)
This program provides comprehensive support services to pregnant and parenting teens in school and their families (including the teen parents, their infants and/or toddlers, and the teen’s parents/guardians). It is a secondary, pregnancy prevention initiative which puts an emphasis on educational progress, reproductive health, positive parenting, and life skills development. PIP after-school programming includes: weekly parenting groups addressing asset building as it relates to positive parenting, infant, toddler development and the teen parent/child relationship. Other components of PIP are weekly life skills sessions focusing on: building assets surrounding personal growth and development; individual counseling; bimonthly Parent/Guardian events; and, a Co-Parenting Initiative for our adolescent families who reside together or independently.
